Kansas Storytelling Festival: World-Renowned Storytellers

Date: April 28, 2017 to April 29, 2017, 1:00 PM
Venue: Various Locations - Downs, Ks.

The Event:

The Kansas Storytelling Festival brings world-renowned storytellers April 28-29 to Downs, Kansas. The 24th annual storytelling festival will draw fans from across the state and beyond for the two evening concerts and many separate sessions of stories, workshops, and music. There's something for everyone: Homespun Tales, Historical Portrayals, Poetry, Puppets and Stories for Children, and Music. The Kansas Storytelling Festival opens on Friday afternoon and closes Saturday evening. Storytelling sessions are held at different locations, all within comfortable walking distance. New this year: The Story Store inside the Memorial Hall. Step onto the welcoming front porch of the general store-like designed sound booth. Inside the Story Store, tell and record your own personal tales so that all will be able to remember those precious moments.
