Kansas Glow Run for CURED

Date: September 15, 2018,
Venue: Maize South High School - 3701 N. Tyler Road, Wichita

The Event:

100% of the proceeds will go to finding a cure for Eosinophilic Disease.

This is a disease that started affecting local Wichitan, Caleb Hoshaw, early on, but because of misdiagnosis and lack of knowledge of the disease it went undetected for years, causing severe tissue and nerves damage to the esophagus. Caleb was officially diagnosed with the disease in Dec. of 2016 in the esophagus and has since spread to his stomach. Caleb continues to seek treatment and surgeries every three months in Kansas City, in hopes of one day hearing those magic words “we have a cure”!

It is with great honor we get to be a part of helping find a cure for this rare disease for not only Caleb, but for the other 1 in 10,000 it also affects.

We will have concessions (including Kona Ice), raffle drawings, music/entertainment, and a tail gate party (no alcohol, please, as we are holding this event on school property) prior to the race, starting at 5 p.m., you can also pick up your registration packets then as well! Race will begin at 8:45 p.m. sharp!

Maize South cheerleaders will cheer on the runners.

Aug. 31 is the deadline for participants to receive a T-shirt.
