Senior Wednesday: Artist Talk

Date: October 3, 2018,
Venue: Wichita Art Museum - 1400 W. Museum Blvd., Wichita

The Event:

Learn about this fall's special project Horizontes from local community organizer, artist, and project director, Armando Minjarez and visiting artist Gleo (Nathalia Gallego). Horizontes, a 2017 Knight Cities Challenge grant winner, is an artist-driven, community-engagement art project that aims to connect two underrepresented neighborhoods in north Wichita.
The predominantly Latino North End and historically African American Northeast neighborhoods are physically and psychologically separated by large grain elevators along the industrial corridor, and Horizontes aims to change that divide.
Senior Wednesday promotes arts awareness and provides lifelong learning opportunities for active adults 55+.
Doors open at 10 am for coffee and treats. Program starts at 10:30 am.
$2 admission; free for museum members
