Tyler Ray Vocal Recital

Date: January 14, 2019,
Venue: Friends University- Alumni Auditorium - 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita
Sponsor: Friends University

The Event:

Friends University Fine Arts is excited to welcome back international professional vocalist and Friends University graduate Tyler Ray. He will present a free vocal performance Jan. 14 at 7:30 p.m. in Alumni Auditorium.
Ray graduated from Friends University in 2012 and Yale School of Music in 2016. He then moved to Norway to sing with Edvard Grieg Kor, a popular eight-part a cappella group, presenting performances throughout Norway and abroad. Displaying versatility across all musical genres, Edvard Grieg Kor performs regularly with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra as well as the Bergen National Opera.
"I am overjoyed to have the opportunity to present a recital in the beautiful Alumni Auditorium at Friends University. Friends University was the genesis of my musical education,” Ray said. “Since then, singing has taken me all over the United States and Europe. This recital will feature pieces that have grown to be very special to me in my vocal journey, including favorites by Handel, Duparc, Grieg and Britten. I hope you will join me!"
The recital will take place in Alumni Auditorium in the Davis Administration Building on the Friends University campus at 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita, Kan. The performance is free and open to the public.
