Grand Opening: Community Art Studio & Gallery

Date: March 1, 2019,
Venue: Zelman Lofts - 602 E Douglas Ave, Wichita
Sponsor: Cjoy Soulworks

The Event:

110 N. St Francis ( North of Espresso to Gogo on Douglas and across the street from Nortons Brewing on St Francis )

Join us in a celebration of building community empowerment through art! Check out our new Community Art Studio where we'll be hosting free community art projects, paid and/or donation based workshops, and connecting through music, laughter, and creativity. Right next to our community art studio will be our Key Creatives Gallery. Opening night will feature the work of the core group of Creatives running the space and in months to come you'll be seeing a rotation of talented local artists sharing their creative light through the platform of our gallery. More details at opening night on who those next artists will be but I am BURSTING AT THE SEAMS with excitement of the names on our list we will be showcasing in months to come!

Key Creatives to be showcased during opening night will include:

  • Artist and Owner of Cjoy Soulworks LLC, Casey Joy. Casey's Soul-Portriat paintings focus primarily on the inward rather than the outward appearance... painting the "colors of the soul" typically using acrylic paint as her primary medium of choice.
  • Artist Don Praseuth. Don practices both traditional and digital art with an emphasis on portriat and figure drawing and has a passion for teaching those eager to learn.
  • Artist Greg Walker. Oil painter of portriat and figure to capture expressiveness of human form.
  • Musician Seth Girton. Painter of the atmosphere with his creative cello vibes
