Singing Quakers Home Concert

Venue: Riney Fine Arts Center - Sebits Auditorium - 2100 W. University Ave. Wichita, KS 67213, Wichita

The Event:

Friends University will present the Singing Quakers Home Concert March 23 at 7:30 p.m. and March 24 at 2 p.m.

The 65-voice Friends University Singing Quakers will present “Heart and Hand” performing music from their upcoming 2019 tour in Italy and Austria. The centerpiece of the concert is W.A. Mozart’s Coronation Mass. Classical selections include works by Francis Poulenc, Hugo Distler, Max Reger and Ola Gjeilo. The program will be rounded out with a broad array of arrangements from hymns, gospel and jazz.

“No less than fifteen student soloists will be featured throughout the concert,” said Dr. Mark Bartel, associate professor of music and director of choral music at Friends University.

The performance will take place in Sebits Auditorium on the Friends University campus at 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita, Kan. Ticket prices are $16 for adults and $13 for seniors and students.
