Storytime PLUS - Potato Pants

Date: June 14, 2019,
Venue: Blue Baboon Books - 9428 W Central Ave, Wichita
Sponsor: Blue Baboon Books

The Event:

On Fridays at Blue Baboon Books, we add a little PLUS to our already awesome storytimes: perhaps a craft, a game, or an activity. We'll read a story, including the songs and dances you've come to love.

THE STORY
Potato is excited. He’s excited because today—for one day only—Lance Vance’s Fancy Pants store is selling POTATO PANTS! Potato rushes over early, and just as he’s about to walk in, who does he see inside' Mean, pushy eggplant who was rude to him the other day. Now potato is in a pickle. Can he stand up to eggplant in order to get his new stripey pants' Can these vegetable rivals make peace in the name of fashion' Find out in this one-of-a-kind story about forgiveness and making amends by the one-of-a-kind picture book creator Laurie Keller. For fans of Peter Brown, Lane Smith, Bob Shea, and Marla Frazee.

Blue Baboon Books' storytimes are free; however, during June and July, we ask that adults reserve their children's spots for $3 each. You will then receive a $3 credit to use at Blue Baboon Books. Storytimes during our summer months tend to attract a full house, and if the crowd is too large, it can be distracting to the kiddos. For this reason, we limit our storytime events to 20 children. You do not need to reserve a spot for children younger than 12 months.
