Midwest Dance Mechanix Fall Ballet

Midwest Dance Mechanix to perform inspiring Fall Ballet featuring original choreography by
Wichita Ballet Legend, Stan Rogers

WICHITA, KS - Midwest Dance Mechanix’ En Avant Youth Ballet Company will perform a Fall Ballet featuring original works and classical variations inspired by the changing of the seasons. Most notably, this performance will feature original choreography by local ballet legend, Stan Rogers, who recently retired as Ballet Director of Friends University. Mr. Rogers has been working on this choreography for several months and is excited to feature a piece entitled “Diamonds” during the Fall Ballet.

The Ballet will also feature original choreography by Jana Owen, owner/director of Midwest Dance Mechanix and classical variations restaged by Trudy Souba. It is a special one night only performance and a rare opportunity for patrons of the arts to experience a Fall Ballet in the Wichita community. Weekly Saturday morning rehearsals will through October 13th at Midwest Dance Mechanix.

General admission tickets to the Fall Ballet are $10 and can be purchased online at www.dancemechanix.biz/fallballet or at the door on the evening of the performance. Seating is limited, so online advance purchasing is recommended.

Midwest Dance Mechanix’ En Avant Youth Ballet Company is a specialty performance group comprised of over 30 dancers, ranging in age from 10 to 18, who have a desire to train in a pre-professional ballet environment. The En Avant Youth Ballet Company performs a “Fall Ballet” in October, “Excerpts from the Nutcracker” in December and attends the prestigious worldwide ballet competition, Youth America Grand Prix, in the Spring. Company dancers train with nationally recognized Master teachers such as Lauren Anderson, first African American Principal Ballet Dancer with the Houston Ballet and Arturo Fernandez, retired Ballet Master for Alonzo King LINES, as well as others.
